Viking Range is one of the many companies that sells kitchen appliances for the home. Here’s some general information about the company including the type of products they tend to sell.
Like many companies that sell kitchen appliances, Viking Range sells some that have the Energy Star rating. This rating actually comes from the government, so it’s not something that Viking Range gave itself. The rating indicates that the appliance that has it is certified as having met certain standards for being environmentally friendly.
This often means that the appliance is energy efficient, or else efficient with its use of some other resource. An example of such an appliance at Viking Range is their 36-inch French-door refrigerator and freezer combination. This appliance has been certified with the Energy Star rating for being efficient with how it cools food items placed within it. There are a number of other items available from Viking Range that also have this rating such as their 24-inch custom front dishwasher, for example.
Viking Range sells a number of different appliances for cooking, including microwaves. An example is their 30-inch microwave oven which is listed under the “Viking 3 Series.” This microwave is a standard example of a microwave sold by a company like Viking Range, and it includes some standard features such as the child safety lock. This lock makes it so that it’s unlikely a child would accidentally activate the microwave which could be both dangerous and a waste of energy.
This microwave has many other standard features as well such as multiple settings for specific foods like popcorn or defrosting mat. You can order the kind that’s portable and just fits on a countertop, or you can get the kind that can be installed right in the wall as long as there’s the right hookup for it in your house.
Ovens and Warming Drawers
Warming drawers are a unique device that are found under ovens. They make it easier to warm up more specific items that wouldn’t do as well in a standard oven grate such as sauces, soups or special types of bread. The Viking Professional 5 Series of warming drawers has a number of standard features such as allowing you to set heat specifically in the drawer from 90 degrees to 250 degrees depending on what you want.
Wine Cellar Coolers
Another unique device that Viking Range offers is a wine cellar for keeping wine preserved and chilled. They put out both full height and undercounter wine cellars. The undercounter cellars can vary from between 15 inches to 24 inches or more through the company. Features for this device includes cooling wine with electronic controls you can set between 68 and 44 degrees. The cooling approach is a forced air cooling system, and the appliance also puts effort into being as quiet as possible. The idea is that many people like their wine cellars to be quiet when they are tasting wine. These will likely need to be installed by a professional.
